Designer Pens

Our Designer Pens classically styled from various varieties of exotic wood. Only a small amount of wood is needed for a pen so usually scraps that would otherwise be thrown away are recycled into a beautiful work of art. Nothing feels better in your hand than a nice wooden pen.

Hand turned Bubinga Pen
This stunning hand turned pen is made from bubinga. Bubinga is a hardwood from Africa and is reddish-brown with dark veins running through the wood. The pen is carved on a lathe and then sanded and polished to show off its natural beauty.

This is a nice, solid pen that would be the perfect gift for father's day or graduation.

Hand turned Laurel Pen

The wood for this pen came from a laurel bush that I was trimming in my yard. It is a beautiful white wood with a smooth finish.
This beautiful pen is cut and shaped using carbide tipped tools and sanded using a 12 stage sanding combination. This pen is finished using high grade sanding sealer and polished with a protective polymer wax that forms a protective layer over the pen.

Hand turned Stripped Maple Pen

This handsome designer pen was hand turned on a lathe and is made from stripped maple, native to northern forests in Eastern North America. The wood has stripes running down the pen.

Hand turned Purple Heart Pen

This pen was hand turned on the lathe using purple heart wood. This wood has a uniform fine-to-medium texture and is purple in color, thus the name purple heart. The wood darkens with time due to oxidation. It is a twist style pen and refills can be purchased at any office supply store. Purple heart is native to South and Central America. The wood is also used for flooring, pool cures and dye produced from the wood is used for textile fabrics!
