My name is Bill Freeborn and along with my twin seventeen year old sons, are the owners of Rain City Pens. Rain City Pens is located in Shoreline, Washington just Northeast of Seattle. My shop is not a production facility, but it has become, in a sense, an oasis from the daily grinds of daily living. I believe any successful business requires time and effort, along with a passion and dedication toward your goals. We have made some of the finest exotic wooden pens, and wine bottle stoppers and other household wood furnishings available. Each piece that we make is hand crafted one at a time. Great care and time have gone into making our pens and as such only 15 or so pens are available at any one time.

Occasionally a small amount of checking in the solid wood is inherent as it is subjected to varying levels of humidity and temperature and is considered to be natural and not a flaw. This is especially seen in extremely hard tropical woods such as Coco Bolo. Rain City Pens makes fine exotic wood products including clocks, cutting boards, woodturnings, and a number of other custom made furnishing accents. Ordering from our web site is safe and easy and custom orders are no problem!
